電器、燈、水喉用 turn on／turn off,唔好直譯做 open／close。

• ✗ Open the light.

  開燈 = turn on

• ✗ Close the light.
  🔊✓ Turn off the light.

  熄燈 = turn off

• ✗ Open the TV.
  🔊✓ Turn on the TV.

  開電視 = turn on

  開冷氣 = turn on

• ✗ Open the tap.
  🔊✓ Turn on the tap.

  開水喉 = turn on

• ✗ Close the computer.
  🔊✓ Shut down the computer.

  熄電腦 = shut down / turn off
